Cantab Update
The Club-Bohemia website has been updated to include our October 17 show, and things have
changed. What once looked like a night of music by kindred spirits (that is, middle-aged men playing punky pop) has metastasized into a predictably schizophrenic evening of oddly matched musicians. Ah, so very, very Cantab.

Midnight
The Hammond Group returns to the Cantab Lounge (Club Bohemia - downstairs) on Saturday, October 17. Following The Last Ones and the Port Charles Quintet, THG takes the stage at midnight. Yikes!

So, take a nap, throw some cold water on your face, and head on down to Central Square on the 17th. What? You got something better to do?

W.H.A.T. happened

The Hammond Group is pleased to report that our "legitimate" theater debut went quite well, thank you. THG performed three tunes - and a surprise cover song with guest vocalist Eric Martinson - during closing night of the Happy Oyster Spectacular Show at the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (W.H.A.T.) on Cape Cod.
Now that that's over with, we will return to more familiar terrain, namely Club Bohemia, on October 17. See you there.

Hammond news roundup

Big doings in the Hammond world this week. First, our new album, "Mean Business" received a favorable, yet oddly edited, review in The Noise. Although we don't know what "optical musical solutions" are, and we're pretty sure we're not living in the "twentieth first century," the reviewer seemed to be buying our act. We're grateful and humble. Thanks, Noise.
Also, songs from "Mean Business" have been turning up on WMFO's Wednesday night show "On the town with Mikey D." Thanks for the exposure, kids.
Meanwhile, our next show has been confirmed. We'll be playing at Club Bohemia (Cantab Lounge, downstairs) on Friday, February 27 at 10:00 PM. Details to come.
